Couleur Rubin won the Championships of Basel/SUI last season and placed second in the Masters League Final of Frankfurt, third in the Grand Prix of Neumünster as well as fifth in the Show Jumping World Cup of Leipzig under his Olympic Game multi-champion rider, Ludger Beerbaum.
Couleur Rubin is also the sire of Castle Forbes Cosma who is successful in Grand Prix under his Irish rider, Jessica Kürten. Eight of his sons have been licensed, including Couletto, also bred by Harli Seifert, who wins international competitions under Simon Delestre/FRA, and Copasetic ridden by Thomas Kleis.
This Cordamé-Grannus son had already revealed his outstanding talent in 1998 when he was licensed in Oldenburg and received the dream score of 10.0 in free jumping, taking the I-i premium. In 2001 Couleur Rubin took the Vice Bundeschampion title in the class for five-year old show jumpers and placed again in the Final a year later in the class for six-year olds. In 2002 he received the VTV Jumper Stallion of the Year award.
Grand Slam’s Dam, is by Concorde who is by the famous stallion Voltaire. His dam, the ‘prestatie’ mare Flyer, is by the legendary Marco Polo. Flyer has produced at least 6 international jumpers. In 2001, Concorde was the youngest stallion ever to be awarded “preferent.” In 2002, he was the number one producer of show jumpers by money won in the US and his sire, Voltaire was named the number one hunter producer in the US. In 2003 Concorde was named Horse of the Year in Holland and was the leading jumping sire in the US. He has produced over 100 offspring competing nationally and internationally at 1.40-1.60.
Grand Slam B, stamped with the flashy markings of his sire, has shown tremendous athletic ability, willingness and talent in his young career. His free jumping test wowed the judge and exhibited huge potential. His wonderful temperament is reflected on the ground and under saddle. He is smart, balanced, brave and is a quick learner. He exhibits all the great talent of his heritage.
